Flipper Heels

10 Mar

I saw this on my friend’s Facebook wall…

…and it left me speechless. I’m just dying to see someone try to walk in these, though!

Manolo Blahnik Spring Collection

30 Jan

Have you SEEN the Manolo Blahnik Spring collection? OMG. I want them all. Why can’t I live the glamorous lifestyle that would support such a shoe addiction?! Why can’t Sex and the City be real and why can’t I have the shoe collection of Carrie or Charlotte?

Anyway, most of these are under $1K, but still. For now I must window shop only and enjoy the eye candy…

Fall Fashion: Faux Fur Part Deux

11 Nov

If you read my post about Fall Fashion: Faux Fur you might be wondering if I ever did embrace this trend as I was contemplating. Fear not, readers, I DID in fact get a new winter coat, complete with a faux fur collar! The best part about this coat is that the faux fur collar is removable! That’s right, it’s like the best coat accessory in the world. Feeling fancy? Button on the fur collar. Feeling conservative? No biggie – just sport the coat sans fur. I’ve worn it both ways and I love it – it’s perfect for the cold winter days we’re already starting to experience here in Chicago. Thank you, Target for this affordable, fashionable find!

Christian Louboutin’s Fall Collection

2 Oct

Like many women, I have a slightly unhealthy love for beautiful shoes. One of my good friends even has an entire closet devoted to her impressive shoe collection (and yes, I’m jealous of that). Even though I’m not really in a financial place to drop $1,500+ on a pair of stilettos, it sure is nice to look. Check out Christian Louboutin’s Fall Collection here.

How fun are these?!

Or these?! I would totally wear these to work…maybe…

Flatform Shoes = Trend Fail

21 Sep

Who created the ‘flatform‘? It’s a platform flat. Though women often do wish to appear taller than they are – hence the demand for 4″ stilettos - I’m not sure strapping bricks to your feet is really the way to achieve such an illusion. I haven’t seen this “trend” in Chicago or surrounding burbs (thankfully!), but regardless of whether it makes its way here or not, I vote trend fail.
